Community Garden
The Norton Commons Residential Village Association is excited to offer the Community Garden .
This vibrant addition to our neighborhood requires a collective effort. We are excited to have this as a community benefit and experience.
Key Garden Rules:
- Complete the Lease Agreement ( in link below) & Release of Claims Form before starting.
- Maintain your plot and surrounding areas from March through September 15.
- Keep your plot and aisles clear, with tools brought and stored away as needed.
- $60 plot fee due before the season starts, with a $30 refund at the end for compliance.
- Raised beds are 4’ x 10’. Assignments are first-come, first-served.
- Gardeners handle watering, weeding, and care of their plots.
- Children must be supervised and cannot enter others’ plots without permission.
- No herbicides; limited use of pesticides with organic options encouraged.
- Only harvest from your own plot and respect others’ plants and tools.
- Plants cannot exceed six feet in height.
- Keep plots free of weeds, pests, and diseases.
- Assist with maintaining and weeding paths around your plot to support the community effort.
- Clear all plants and debris from your plot at the end of the season or when vacating early.
- Illegal plants are prohibited.
- No dogs are allowed inside the garden plots; leash hooks are available outside.
- The garden closes at dark.
- Enter and use the garden at your own risk.
